One 486 families are still hold up at the community centre due to the slow subsiding of the flood water. Most of them have been staying here for 2 to 4 days since flooding.
The Group of Rotarians represent the seven clubs of west coast Sabah assisted in handling over of the rations to centre at District office.

Sunday, 17/1/2010 a distress called from district officer of Kota Marudu to assist due to flooding affecting many families. The evacuation took place on Saturday and Sunday where thousand of villagers had to leave their villages due the dangerous level of flooding.

Assistant Governor Alice Kunjan called for emergency meeting for assistant among the seven club namely RC Penampang, RC Luyang, RC KK South, RC Sutera, RC Tanjung Aru, RC Likas Bay and RC KK. All agreed to come up with immediate fund.
All the rations were ready from the clubs, the Rotarians and Southern bakery for despoilment on Tuesday morning. ABX provided truck to send the ration to Kota Marudu. A group of Rotarians also went up to Kota Marudu lead by Incoming District Governor PP Phillip Chong.
Upon arrival, we were briefed by the District Office Ms. Luvita about the condition of the flooding. We handover the ration to the distribution officers and went over to two community halls to access the victim living condition.
Later we went around the areas which was affected by flooding.
